Violent skirmish in front of Vietnam embassy

Beginning of this week, about 40 monks went to Vietnam embassy in Cambodia. The aim was to give a petition asking for liberation of several monks hold in Vietnam. About 100 policemen with shields and clubs were waiting for them. The meeting has quickly turned in a violent skirmish. About 20 monks would have been hurt and 3 of them have been transported to hospital. Despite several witness, police spoke about self defense to justify their acts.

What is inconceivable is that Cambodian government protect Vietnamese in Cambodia whereas they don't care about Khmer human rights in Vietnam.
